Session Two and Three- Abridged Curriculum Outline

Sessions Two and Three Timing:
 September 16, 2010
 to April 16, 2011

Structure:

  • Regular Thursday classes (6pm to 9pm)
  • Staggered Saturday workshops (9am to 5pm)
  • Plus self-directed time for project management

Evaluation Approach:

Module 1: Integrated Brand Communications Planning

  • Learn how branding informs communications solutions and develop an appreciation for the power of brand narrative.
  • Explore methods for integrating brand thinking into communications planning.

Dates:

  • Evening sessions: September 16 to October 14
  • Saturday session: September 18

Module 2: Introduction to the Connection Landscape

  • Develop perspective on the architecture of connection planning.
  • Explore the connection landscape (both mainstream and emerging media) and build skill in developing integrated thinking.

Dates:

  • Evening sessions: October 21 to December 3
  • Saturday session: November 20

Module 3: Exploring Emerging Trending in Connection Landscape

  • Understand how the emerging connection landscape is shifting media planning approaches.
  • Explore marketing public relations (MPR), digital and social media, and develop understanding of the growing impact of social mobility on brand communications delivery.

  • Evening sessions: January 13 to April 7
  • Saturday session: April 16
